CC continued their tradition of closing out the regular season against an always strong and well prepared Framingham squad in
what often is a preview of the playoffs. This year CC came in as the favorite and Framingham was looking to improve their ranking with a quality win in front of their boisterous home crowd.

The Flyers, using a suffocating full field press, jumped out to a 3 goal lead just four minutes into the game. Ali Barrett got CC on
the board 7 minutes into the game but Framingham came back 2 minutes later to regain their 3 goal lead. The game was back and forth throughout the first half but CC could not get closer than 1 goal and the half ended 7-5 in favor of Framingham.

CC came out strong in the second half and scored two goals in under two minutes to tie the game at 7 all. CC responded to each of the next 2 Framingham goals and the score was tied again at 9-9 with 14 minutes to play
before Framingham went on a 3 goal run to make it 12-9 with 5:19 to play. With their skilled and smart possession offense it appeared that Framingham was in control and would be able to run the clock out for the victory but Emma Brandhorst came up with a huge goal driving through several Framingham defenders to get CC to with-in 2 goals at 4:31 to play.

CC then used their fast paced offense and Cassidy Hale recorded the two biggest goals of her CC career to date scoring first on a feed from Jenna Carlton and then again to tie the game on a feed from Hannah Dudley. Framingham then gained possession and called time out with 1:20 to play and looked like they would hold the ball for the final shot but Margot Painter came up with a critical caused turnover and ground ball to give the ball back to CC. In the final frantic possession CC had one shot hit the post and Framingham’s D1 bound goalie come up with a huge 8 meter save with 12 seconds to go and the game ended in a 12-12 tie.

Emma Brandhorst had her best game of the year with 4 goals, 6 draw controls, 4 ground balls, and 2 caused turnovers. Allie Barrett
and Becca Olsen each had 3 goals each.

CC finished the regular season undefeated in their last 14 games and have not lost since the first week of April. Their 15-2-1 record earned them the #1 seed in the D1 eastern division playoffs.
