The Concord Carlisle Girls Lacrosse team traveled to Bedford last Thursday and lead from start to finish in an 18-4 win,
improving to 4-2 on the year.

The Patriots had contributions from all areas of the field. Offensively 10 different players either scored or had assists. The CC
defense was led by Tessa Dibble with 2 caused turnovers and 3 ground ball pickups, Sophie Shipe with 6 ground ball pickups and Goalie Kayla Milofsky who registered her first varsity victory. Emily Mushlitz and Melissa Hoey also provided strong support
as CC used a pressing defense throughout the day.

Offensively CC wasted no time as Emma Brandhorst scored 7 seconds into the game. CC stretched their lead to 3-0 after two quick goals by Ali Barrett before Bedford got on the board to make it 3-1 after only 3
minutes of play. CC and Bedford traded goals to make 5-2 CC before the Patriots
went on a 5 goal run, including 3 of Becca Olsen’s 6 goals on the day, to take charge of the game 10-2. The first half ended with CC leading 11-4.

The second half saw CC’s defense shut out Bedford, including a stretch of 4 consecutive saves by Milofsky at the end of the game.
On offense CC found the back of the net 7 more times. Hannah Dudley scored twice in the half and Sophie Shipe tallied her first goal of the season.

Coach Paul Morrison stated "It was a good bounce back win after a tough loss to Wayland. We emphasized pressuring the ball all over the field and made it hard for Bedford to go on attack. If we keep up that pressure in every game good things will happen for us."
