The CC Patriots early season game with the AB Colonials resulted in a disappointing loss for CC. However, last Thursday the Patriots took the field and established an early 4-1 lead and never let up.

From the first draw Senior Co-captain Hannah Dudley drove to the net for the opening goal. Next, Senior Grace Andonian found the back of the net with two successive goals. Senior attacker, Cassidy Hale’s quickly fired a hard shot to the corner bringing the score to 4-0. AB got on the scoreboard 12 minutes into the first half bringing the score to 4-1. Senior co-captain Madeline Leahy scooped a ground ball, quickly transitioned down the field for pass to Cassidy Hale who tossed in goal number five.

Senior Goalie Abby Flynn robbed the Colonials of 6 goals in the first half and stepped up to save seven goals in the second half.

AB’s offense fought back, but CC dominated play by notching ten draw controls for the day.

CC Patriots come out strong and didn’t let up until the final whistle.
