Lincoln Sudbury scored early. Cassidy Hale returned the favor with strong shot to the corner. The game was off to a quick start. As play continued in the first half LS dominated the draw controls and gained the lead with a strong, settled offense that continued throughout the game. Some notable highlights in the first half were when CCHS Senior Johanna O’Neil got a quick stick goal off an assist from Grace Andonian bringing the score to 3-2. With 7 minutes left to half Hannah Dudley hit the corner with an assist from Johanna O’Neil. The first half ended with LS leading 7-3.

LS came out strong in the second half capitalizing on turnovers and a few key ground balls. Further widening the gap to 9-3. Late in the second half Sophmore Payton Vaughn drove to
the net scoring on an inside shot to the right post. A few minutes later she was able to score on a free position shot bringing the score to 11-5. LS closed out the game with another goal. Final score 12-5. The Patriots fought hard, but LS slipped through the cracks. Though a disappointing loss, CC girls are motivated to work hard and excited to face Newton South at home on Friday, April 29th.
